Audience Feedback from Storyboards

After showing the storyboards to people I collected feedback in order to improve ideas and to know what people thought looked particularly good so we know how to develop the ideas further and what we can include more of. This was the feedback that I received:

- The point of view shots are interesting to see the story from the protagonist's eyes, so more of these could be included

- During the shot from the window looking out at the girl, a sound effect of someone breathing could be put in as if there is someone inside the house and watching the girl

- The ideas of the dead photos and the stalking photo are very good. However, there were concerns about how clear the credits will be if they appear on top of these, so we will just have to make it very clear that this is a more interesting way of showing the credits for the three of us. The idea of the titles appearing in the rubbish is fitting though

- The idea of the doll reappearing is very good because it is eerie that this object seems to have a life of its own

- A suggestion for a shot is that one could be handheld, and the girl then looks directly at the camera like she has heard something but the camera moves behind something slightly like we are seeing from the perspective of a mysterious antagonist character

- The floor being covered in rubbish and unusual items is very intriguing

- The stalking photo and the fact that she is shot very early on  gives interesting twists. The gun shot is also quite shocking and a good climax to the opening

- Various shots of the girl's body is fascinating to only see different parts of things, and not the whole picture at once, for example, shots of the eyes, hand, feet, torso etc.

- The opening of the door is quite dramatic and seems to stand as a metaphor: i.e. opening up a new chapter or opening up a can of worms

- The shots being from the front and back of the girl is quite though-provoking and confusing because the audience do not know where the killer is watching her from

- Close-ups are interesting because you can see what the girl is feeling, and it seems like you are a part of the character

- The panning shot will be useful to show the extent of the untidiness of the room

- The slamming of the door could be slightly cliché, however someone else commented that this is good because it is almost conventional

- There is a wide variety of shots included on the story board

- As she enters the room it is very tense, because it is one of those classic moments when the viewer does not want the character to do something and you feel uncomfortable when they do
